Carolyn and family, it is with a great deal of sadness that I say how deeply I feel your loss. Karl was a wonderful Christian friend. And I miss him. We shared a love of flying and even had the opportunity to watch a space shuttle launch together. It seems strange to think that future visits to Indiana won’t include time with Karl. Your family is in our prayers.

My heartfelt condolences and prayers are with your family as you make your way through these difficult moments. Having met Mr. Friedrich on your charming farm, where I was welcomed and treated sweetly, it was such a lasting experience. Riding on the combine, my first ever, and just spending a day at the farm was such a treat. He left his earthly place, but will never be forgotten. God grant to Karl Eternal Rest and welcome him into the Light of Your Kingdom.

  17. Karin Stahl January 1, 2023 at 12:22 pm

I had the absolute pleasure to meet Mr Friedrich on his farm, where I was welcomed by the family and had a great and memorable experience. My friend Beth invited me to the farm, and Karl let me ride on his combine, my first time ever. I was channeling my inner 4 year old, like Beth’s son Louis, smiling from ear to ear. He was a kind, generous, beloved family man and I know will be sadly missed. My heartfelt condolences and prayers go to the family as you make your way through this difficult time. Karl has left his earthly home, but will never be forgotten. God, grant him unto him Eternal Rest.

    Dear Carolyn & Angie,
So very sorry. Karl will be missed. Such congeniality with his financial, farm and pilot skills! Always could have a good laugh and would look forward to the next conversation. Somehow you have accumulated a lot of grandchildren. I’m sure Karl enjoyed their personalities! We are in Florida, so will say our goodbyes now.

    Carolyn and family

We were deeply saddened to learn of Karl’s passing. Thanks so much for sharing the beautiful memorial video of his life which showed his deep devotion and love for his family. And what a life he lived!. I did not know he served our country in the Coast Guard, something we never thanked him for. He has left us way too soon and will be truly missed.
