William A. “Bill” Wilson Jr. 82, a former Clinton County resident, died at 6:58 p.m. February 14, 2010 at Clarian Arnett Hospital, Lafayette, IN. Born November 6, 1927 in Indianapolis, IN to William A. Wilson Sr. and Elsie (Bates) Wilson. He married Joy Reynolds on January 1, 1955 and she preceded him in death on October 22, 2001. Mr. Wilson attended Anderson High School and lived in Anderson, Frankton, Fishers, and Indianapolis. He resided in Colfax from 1968-2002 before moving to Lafayette. He was an electrician, working for Eli Lilly Tippecanoe Laboratory for 21 years, retiring in 1989. He also worked part time at Reynolds Farm Equipment. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1946 in the Pacific Theatre during WWII, attaining the rank of Seaman First Class and served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953, attaining the rank of Sergeant. His memberships include; Colfax Methodist Church, 1st Church of the Latter Day Saints in West Lafayette, Masonic Lodge, Sons of American Revolution. He was an EMT/Volunteer Fireman for Colfax, Yellow Shirt at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Clothe a Child with Eli Lilly, and Scout Master in Colfax.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 17th from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery, Colfax, IN. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or MDA, envelopes will be available.
