I want to express my sympathy for you regarding the loss of your father. He and my father, John Freeland, played baseball together for the Frankfort Owls – that would have been back in the late 40’s. Dad always spoke fondly of Ike, and I can almost see his face, as I and my family used to go to all the games. We lost my Dad almost exactly a year ago, actually, Dec. 17, and I still miss him terribly. However, both our families were blessed to have our fathers with us as long as we did.
Sincerely,
Pam Freeland

I am so sorry for your loss. I will always remember Ike sitting on the porch swing and waving anytime me or my family when we drove by. I will miss seeing him there. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Facebook Twitter GoogleI had the pleasure of taking care of Ike several times in the hospital. He was such a kind, funny man, even when he felt bad. We were born a few miles and a few years apart in Mass. and always had to discuss that. Cleta was the love of his life. I`m sure theirs was a joyous reunion. I also bet that right after a big hug and kiss, Ike told all those gathered around how he saved Cleta from a life of sin by marrying her!!
