Walter ‘Jack’ Jarrell

Walter “Jack” Jarrell 87, of rural Frankfort, IN, died at 11:03 a.m. Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Clinton House Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born March 7, 1922 in Lebanon, IN, to Walter A. & Nellie M. (Nolan) Jarrell. He married Helen E. (Limp) Smith on March 19, 1988 in Zionsville, IN and she survives. Mr. Jarrell was a graduate of Frankfort High School and a lifelong Frankfort resident. He farmed for 46 years, retiring in 1994. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in the European Theater from 1942-1946. Mr. Jarrell was a member of the New Hope Church.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2009 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 27, 2009 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the New Hope Church, envelopes will be available.

Wife: Helen Jarrell of Rural Frankfort, IN 2 Step Sons: Larry W. Smith of Zionsville, IN and Thomas M. Smith of Indianapolis, IN 2 Grandchildren: Austin Smith of Boston, MA and Dustin (Cassie) Smith of Valparaiso, IN

    Helen,
    We are so sorry to hear about Jack, You are in our thoughts and prayers. I am sure you know that Jack had as much to do with my formative years as any other adult in my life at that time. He was a great freind to my family and my father.
