Virginia Evelyn “Gini” Fausett, 90, of Frankfort, died April 22, 2020 at Wesley Manor.  She was born in Frankfort on March 3, 1930 to Commodore “Honk” Cornelius & Naomi Cornelia (Pickering) Walters.  She married Arthur M. “Morrie” Fausett on September 20, 1952 and he survives.

Gini was a 1950 graduate of Frankfort High School.  She was secretary of the First Baptist Church and also owned Walters Mower Service.  She was a member of Faith Family Church.  Gini enjoyed camping, gardening, vacationing with her family at Ocean Isle Beach in North Carolina, and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation and Services

Family services will be held Saturday at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main. St., Frankfort. Services will be conducted by her grandson, Pastor Luke Fausett. Due to the current circumstances facing our Nation, this service will be live streamed at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2020. To participate a link will be provided on our website. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Redeemer Baptist Church, P.O. Box 50084, Fort Wayne, IN 46805.

Husband: Morrie Fausett of Frankfort, 2 Sons: Wayde Arthur (Mary Ellen) Fausett of Woodstock, IL, Christopher Lee (Paula) Fausett of Rossville, 2 Sisters: Barbara (Wayne) Fausett of Frankfort, Mary Emma Downey of Sadieville, KY, Brother: Tom (Linda) Walters of Frankfort, 4 Grandchildren, John (Ari) Fausett, Brian Fausett, Bethany (Phillipe) Sallade and Luke (Jenna) Fausett and 4 Great Grandchildren, Elias, Aurora and Samuel Sallade and Lowell Fausett.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, brother, John Walters and sister, Jacquelyn Coffman

    My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. It’s so sad that in a circumstance as this one, that we cannot all personally show our love for such a beautiful woman. Aunt Gini truly was an amazing woman with a heart of gold. I’m happy that you’ve finally gone home and are with all our loved ones. We love you.

    I am sad to hear of her passing but as we all know we should take the good memories of Aunt Gini and share them with the world. The first think about her I can recall is her smile! She always had a smile to light up the room. We will miss that smile, but keep her in our hearts forever.

    Morris, I’m so sorry to hear about Gini. I talked with Jane Ann Reed after Bob C. passed away and she told me that your wife was really bad at that time. I know you spent many days with her at the nursing home. She was blessed to have you. God will bless you for your care of her.

    My dear sister, I will miss your companionship forever! We were so close, being not only sisters, but also sisters-in-law, having the same in-laws was always enjoyable. We just could not top one another with our in-laws jokes! Kinda hard when they are the same folks! Good times.     Morrie, so sorry I can’t be there to give you a big hug. You were very attentive to Gini and will be blessed for your time with her. She is now in the arms of her Savior. I loved all the Fausett family and enjoyed our time at FBC and our Sunday School class.
