Thelma L. Faust

Thelma Louise Laughner Faust 67, of Forest, IN, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Clarian Arnett Hospital, Lafayette, following a three month illness. Born February 23, 1943 in Frankfort, IN to the late Clayton & Ruthanna Laughner. Thelma was a 1961 graduate of Frankfort High School. She met the love of her live in 1959 and her marriage of 48 years was to Clinton Faust on July 1, 1962. She enjoyed art, painting and was largely a self-taught artist. She served as Treasurer of the Clinton County Art League and was an award winning exhibitor at the Clinton County Fair, Indiana State Fair and other area art contests over her years of participation in the art of oil painting. She enjoyed creating and sharing many other arts and crafts including doll making and jewelry designs to name a few. Thelma and her husband were Indianapolis Colts season ticket holders and avid fans for many years. They also enjoyed the Indy 500 and the Tipton Pork Festival. Thelma was a gentle soul, loved her family and lovingly cared for countless dogs, cats and even a few calves over her lifetime.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2010 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday, October 10th from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Art League, envelopes will be available.
