Roy G. Ashlock

Roy G. Ashlock 72, of Rural Frankfort, IN, died at 4:30 p.m. March 8, 2010 at home surrounded by his family. Born March 4, 1938 in Tompkinsville, KY to Walter Ashlock and Lucille (Cable) Ashlock Black. He married Margaret Cockrum on April 3, 1956 in Frankfort, IN and she survives. Mr. Ashlock moved to Frankfort in 1953 and attended Frankfort Schools. He was a journeyman lineman and electrician, working for the Frankfort City Light & Power for 30 years, retiring in 1998. Mr. Ashlock formerly attended the Church of Christ, was a lifetime member of the Eagles and a member of the FOP. He loved to be with his family, remodel houses, gardening, fishing, playing euchre, traveling and music.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 12, 2010 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, March 11th from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Cancer Fund or Guardian Angel Hospice, envelopes will be available

Wife: Margaret Ashlock of Frankfort 1 Son: Tim (Lore) Ashlock of Frankfort 3 Daughters: Rhonda (Toby) Hedge of Frankfort, Debbie (Jerry) Stewart of Frankfort and Lisa McDaniel of Frankfort 4 Sisters: Olean Anderson of Hendersonville, TN, Dorothy Rader of Monticello, Evadean Belamy of Red Boiling Springs, TN and Pearl Lovingood of Murphy, NC 1 Brother: Tom Black of Peru, IN 3 Step-Sisters: Carole Savoy of Peru, IN, Marilyn Huff of Peru, IN and Betty Harris of Peru, IN 1 Step-Brother: Richard Black of Peru, IN 8 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren also survive.

    To the Ashlock family; You have been part of my life since childhood. I am so sorry for your loss and you have my prayers and thoughts to carry you through this hard time. It is a blessing that he will be in the hands of the Lord and will no longer suffer. Remember the good times and the laughter in which he brought each and every one of you.
