Ronald Paul Gavala 63 of Frankfort, IN, died at 4:07 a.m. August 14, 2009 at Home Hospital, Lafayette, IN. Born February 15, 1946 in Yonkers, NY to Paul & Ella (Morgan) Gavala. He married Iliili Manu on June 15, 1980 in Fishkill, NY and they later divorced. Mr. Gavala was a 1965 graduate of Ray Ketcham high School in Woppingers Falls, NY and lived in Yonkers and Fishkill, NY, New Zealand, Kokomo and Frankfort, IN. He was a machine operator, working for Dupont in Poughkeepsie, NY, and Tau Laboratories in Kokomo. He was of the Catholic faith, and was a member of Knights of Columbus. Mr. Gavala enjoyed traveling, collecting antiques and spending time with his family and friends.

Visitation and Services

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at the Goodwin Funeral Home, Frankfort, IN. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. prior to the service

3 Daughters: Rata Murray of New Zealand, Monica Gavala of Madison, WI and Kimmie Gavala of Frankfort, IN 2 Sons: Jhan Gavala of New Zealand and Ronnie Gavala Jr. of Lafayette, IN 1 Brother: James Gavala of Fishkill, NY Granddaughter: Cassandra Gavala-George of Madison, WI

    Sorry for your loss. Ronnie was a friend of my brother’s Bill and mine. They had many adventures and escapades, remembering them brings back great memories- I miss them both. Love Mary Smith and family
