Robert ‘Wayne’ Surber Sr. 74, of Michigantown, IN, made his transition to heaven on April 11, 2010 at Clinton House Health and Rehabilitation Center, following an extended illness. Born September 5, 1935 in Tazewell, TN to Millard & Ninnie (Long) Surber. He married Wanda Phillips on October 25, 1964 and she survives. Mr. Surber attended school in Tazewell, TN and moved to Clinton County in 1962. He was a truck driver for AgMax (Farm Bureau Co-op) for 19 years, retiring in 1985 due to health concerns.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 14th from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Whiteman Cemetery, Michigantown, IN. Memorial donations may be made to Clinton County Cancer Fund, 241 S. Broadway St., Frankfort, IN 46041.

Wife: Wanda Phillips Surber of Michigantown Son: Rob (Kelli) Surber of Michigantown 2 Brothers: Harry (Frances) Surber of Forest and Ralph (Barb) Surber of Forest 3 Sisters: Eulene Butcher of Tipton, Pansy (Carson) Noe of Tazewell, TN and Nettie Noe of Tazewell, TN Half Sister: Pauline of Tazewell, TN Grandson: Blake Surber of Michigantown 2 Step Grandsons: Ian Lowery of Michigantown and Cody Howe of Michigantown Special Niece and Nephew: Julie Monroe and David Brooks Many nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard & Ninnie (Long) Surber, 1 brother, Millard Surber Jr., 4 half sisters and 4 half brothers.
