Robert F. Behr

Robert F. Behr, 94, former Frankfort resident, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 11:45 p.m. at St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis, IN. He was born May 11, 1915 in Veedersburg, IN. He married Christina L. Loop on June 19, 1938; she preceded him in death on August 7, 2006. Mr. Behr was a 1934 graduate of Frankfort High School and a longtime Frankfort resident, moving to Zionsville in 1993. He was plant superintendent at Indiana Brass Company and retired in 1979 after 45 years. Mr. Behr was a veteran of the U.S. Navy in WWII. His memberships include First Christian Church in Frankfort and the United Methodist Church in Zionsville. He was a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge, former member of the Clinton Masonic Lodge in Frankfort and a former Board member of the Paul Phillippe Resource Center.

Visitation and Services

Services 2 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Goodwin Funeral Home, Frankfort, IN. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wings To Fly Scholarship Fund, c/o Central Indiana Community Foundation, 1405 E. Broad Ripple Ave., Indianapolis, Indiana 46260.

2 Daughters: Barbara (Husband Alan) Huckleberry of Germany and Bonnie (Husband Art) Rettig of Indianapolis, IN 1 Sister: Betty Johnson of New Albany, IN 4 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren

Preceded by:

Preceded in death by his wife, four brothers and two sisters.
