Robert E. “Bob” Sheets

Robert E. “Bob” Sheets 78 of Frankfort, IN, died at 12:10 p.m. August 4, 2011 at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital, unexpectedly. Born December 10, 1932 in Clinton County, IN to the late Harry & Nina (Eaton) Sheets. His first marriage was to Marilyn A. Dupler. He then married MaryBeth (Michael) Rothenberger on December 10, 1982 and she survives. A 1952 graduate of Frankfort High School, he played on the Frankfort basketball team and was a lifelong Frankfort resident. He was a meat cutter at Sheets Market for 40 years with his family. Among his many interests were farming, woodworking, gardening, basketball and being with family.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday, August 7th from 3-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Kilmore Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Parkview Home, envelopes will be available.

Sheets of Frankfort 2 Sisters: Bonnie (Floyd) Kaser of rural Frankfort and Patricia (Harold) Thompson of Arizona 2 Brothers: Herbert Sheets of Frankfort and Harry J. (Kathleen) Sheets of rural Frankfort Special Family Members: Terry Douglass, Nancy Sheets, Jackie Sheets, Jeanna Sheets, Janet Sheets, Melanie Michael-Butler, Misty Harness, along with several nieces and nephews 11 Grandchildren, Derek, Ashley, Lisa, Kris, Amber, Nick, Chase, Jed, Jessi, Jordan and Jensen and 12 Great Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lou Ann Sheets, a son, Peter M. Sheets, 3 brothers Paul, Elmer and Billy Joe Sheets and one sister, Maxine Smock.

    Remember Bob always greeting you with a smile whenever you saw him in the store or around town from the time I was a small child. Shall greatly miss him. Prayers for strength and comfort to all the family.

    Stooge and I are saddened to learn of Bob’s passing and offer our deepest sympathies for your loss. Although it has been many years ago, I have many memories of our neighborly times from then; Bob’s kindly presence and humor especially.

    We were sad to hear about Bob’s passing. He was a great guy and father. He always had a smile on his face. He was an influence on me and was good to talk to in my early years. He will be sadly missed by all who ever came in contact with him.
