Richard L. “Chicago” Konkol 66, of Frankfort, left us to go home at 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Clarian Arnett Hospital, Lafayette. Born October 24, 1943 in Chicago, IL to the late Stanley & Helen Konkol. His marriage was to Sharon Birdsong. Mr. Konkol moved to Frankfort from Chicago in 2005 to be close to his family. He retired in 2004 from the City of Chicago where he worked as a diesel mechanic. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was of the Baptist Faith.

Visitation and Services

Friends may visit from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, September 25th at Goodwin Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the visiting.

Survived by:

2 Daughters: Shannon (Pete) Munoz of Frankfort, IN and Shelly (Conrad) Staple of Mesa, AZ Ex-Wife: Sharon Konkol of Frankfort, IN 7 Grandchildren, Katherine, Brian, Jessica, Maxwell, Nicole, Ashley & Cj 5 Brothers, 2 Sisters and many friends also survive.
