Paul Robert “Bob” Myers 84 of Frankfort, IN, died at 11 p.m. January 9, 2011 at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital. Born February 1, 1926 in Frankfort, IN to the late Roy C. & Jennie (Benge) Myers. He married Peggy A. Jacobs on August 30, 1944 in Peru, IN and she survives. Mr. Myers was a 1944 graduate of Frankfort High School. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during WWII in the 86th Black Hawk Division in France, Germany, Austria, Belgium and Philippines. Mr. Myers was a funeral directors assistant for the Goodwin Funeral Home from 1946-1954, worked at Nickel Plate Railroad for a short time, and Ing Rich for 16 years. In 1979, he was elected Clinton County Auditor and served until 1986, in 1987 he was elected Clinton County Clerk and served until 1991 and beginning in 1992 he served 3 terms on Clinton County Council, retiring in 2004. He was a member of the Country Chapel Church of God, VFW, American Legion, Moose Lodge and Clinton Masonic Lodge. During his younger years, he enjoyed softball. He was an avid Frankfort High School Basketball Fan, was known as the Historian of Hot Dog Basketball and has all the Frankfort Basketball box scores from 1919-2006. Mr. Myers enjoyed vacationing in Madeira Beach, FL and spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation and Services
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 12th from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial with military rites will be in Bunnell Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Country Chapel Church of God or Frankfort High School Athletic Department. Envelopes will be available.

8 Great Grandchildren: Brady and Aaron Myers, Briana, Ella and Grace Myers, Erica, Matthew and Morgan Berry
