Patricia Ann Lee, 81, of Frankfort, Ind., died Monday, May 4, 2020 at her home.  She was born June 9, 1938 in Dyersburg, Tennessee to Ted & Barbara Jean (Wyrick) Phillips.  She married Richard C. Lee on June 17, 1956 at the Colfax Christian Church and he preceded her in death on January 16, 1980.  She married Lloyd Cheek on October 7, 1983 in French Lick and he preceded her in death on May 19, 2012.

Pat moved to Clinton County over 60 years ago and was a 1955 graduate of Colfax High School.  She was a pioneer, being the first woman Realtor in Clinton County, where she was owner/operator of Village Square Reality for over 40 years.  Pat was a member of the Manson Congregational Christian Church and was active in various church activities.  She was past President of Rainbow Haven, past member of Zonta International, Business Professional Women and past Republican Precinct Woman.  Pat was a happy person and dearly loved her family.

Visitation and Services

Restricted public visitation will be 12- 2 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2010 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Family services will follow visitation. Pastor Jeff Chynoweth will officiate the service. Memorial donations may be made to the Manson Congregational Christian Church. Due to the current circumstances facing our nation, this service will be live-streamed at 2 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2020. The link to participate will be posted on our website.

2 Sons: Philip W. (Christine) Lee of Colfax, Jeffrey S. (Patti) Lee of rural Frankfort, Brother: Wade L. (Marilyn) Phillips of Springfield, MO, 2 Sisters: Marilyn (Lee) Billington of Avon, Kathy (Jeff) Chynoweth of Frankfort 7 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren

Preceded by:

In addition to her spouses, she was preceded in death by a son, Steven M. Lee in 2019 and a great grandson, Isaac M. Lee in 2018.

    Phil, Jeff and families, I am not sure where to begin since our two families go way back. I want to say that we are sorry to hear about your mom Pat. She was always sweet, nice, kind and would do anything to get us what we wanted/needed. Always there to run us around to practice, games, and etc. before we had our drivers license. We have so many fond memories and there are to many to share on this. Phil and Jeff, you know what they are or you can relate to them. We want to give you both a big hug but under the circumstances this will have to wait until we see each other once again. Our hearts go out to you and your families. Take care of your families and I hope God blesses you all.

    So sad for you all. Pat was a very special person. I know she loved her family dearly. I was with her every Thursday at 9:00, there was not a time that she didn’t talk about her Sons and Grandchildren. Jeff you took such good care of her, she said she didn’t know what she would have done without you, Samantha she was so happy for all the visits you had when you brought the boys and spent time with her, it was the first thing she’d talk about with a big smile on her face. Pat always told me how blessed she was, and she love the Lord. She’s a beautiful Angel in heaven and I have no doubt we will meet again. Prayers to all of the family and friends.

    I always enjoyed working with Pat on Real Estate deals. I worked with her when I worked at the banks and I also worked with her as a fellow Realtor. She was a very kind and professional lady. She blazed the trail for female Realtors in Clinton County. Thank you Pat! You are missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

    Pat graciously accepted me, as a rookie real estate agent, and was one of the greatest mentors through my realtor career at Village Square Realty. She was an excellent teacher and coach for all who wanted to learn and did this effortlessly and always with a smile. The last time I saw Pat was during Grandparents Day at Clinton Prairie Grade School. Still the same graceful, friendly and lovely Pat. I will forever cherish the memories of happy times and places, especially the luncheon with Pat, Odel Strange and myself, so many years ago. Rest peacefully, beautiful lady.

    Zack and Alex and Phil & Jeff and the family, so sorry for the loss of your grandma and mother. She was a great lady. Think of her, that she is with Steve and Sylvia and baby Lee and Isaac and her husband. And they are now all watching over you all everyday and every minute. You all will feel her around you at times and know it is her. Zack and Alex if you need anything let me know and if you just want to talk that is fine too I’m up late, your dad used to call and talk to me late at night sometimes and I would sit and listen and that’s all it took.     I was so sorry to hear about Pat’s passing. I served on the board of Rainbow Haven with her for several years before we moved out of state, and I have nothing but fond memories and great respect for her. Pat was such an enthusiastic and loving person who was fully dedicated to the Lord’s work. I know that she was loved by so many people who will mourn her passing. May God bless you all.

    In all respects, Pat was an amazing woman. She set the standard for women pioneering the frontiers of business and the workplace. And she accomplished so very much in that respect. Still, she is best remembered by the family who followed her lead, and who loved her with all their hearts.

    My heart is heavy as we celebrate the life of an amazing lady. We are thankful to be left with so many kind memories. I feel privileged to know her given my opportunity to be supported by her. Pat’s faith, leadership, and most important the love she showed for people leaves us with a remarkable impact on others and in her community. I hope you all find comfort in those memories she left. I know I will never forget her inspirations on me.

I attended Manson Christian Church with her for many years and also organized the walk-a-thon for our church that benefited her beloved Rainbow Haven. She will be missed!
