Oran C. Moudy 69, of Frankfort, IN, died at 4:49 p.m. November 29, 2011 at Ann Seton Specialty Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. Born October 31, 1942 in Frankfort to Oran & Freida (Baker) Moudy. He married Zelma F. Hamlin on January 3, 1963 and she survives. Mr. Moudy was a 1960 graduate of Frankfort High School and a lifelong Frankfort resident. He worked at Alcoa, retiring in 2003. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, December 2nd from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Kidney Foundation.

Wife: Zelma Moudy of Frankfort 2 Daughters: Maricia (Jeff) Wilson of Brownsburg and Melinda (Kirk) Justus of Frankfort 2 Brothers: Bob Moudy of Kokomo and Junior (Sharon) Baker of Crawfordsville 2 Grandsons: Zachary (Chelsea) Moudy of Lafayette and Reid Justus of Frankfort Great Granddaughter: Harmonie Moudy of Lafayette

    We have many happy memories over the years especially playing cards and eating homemade pizzas. So glad to have shared his friendship, and that he is now free of pain and dialysis. He was so loved and served by his family, and I admire each of you for your devotion to him on his life’s journey.

    I hope you know how sorry I am for your loss. The wondering if the time is near is so different from the end. Thinking your ready for the end and yet, never being ready to separate from the one we love. Did not make it to this Christmas, but the days and months since the last Christmas are precious and will always be with you. He leaves your sight, but remember he never will leave your heart…

    Please accept our condolences on the loss of your father. We will certainly be thinking of you and your family in the coming days, wishing you only happy memories of the time you shared with him. Take care of each other and know that he is now resting peacefully, free from the concerns of this world and without discomfort.
