Nancy Lee Kathrens, age 68, passed away at her home in Winter Park, FL on Sunday, August 9, 2009 of Pneumonia. She was born in Richmond, Indiana on October 18, 1940. Nancy graduated Broad Ripple HS in 1958, studied Dental Hygiene at Indiana University and enjoyed a successful career. She was self-employed with her husband working in several business ventures starting with the Stein Tavern in Fort Wayne, IN for 16 years then the Pit Crew in Orlando, FL for 12 years. Special thanks to the friends and family who were supportive during her later illness. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is remembered for her love of people and her never ending ability to lend a listening ear, and her genuine interest in conversing with people.
Visitation and Services
Services at Goodwin Funeral Home, Frankfort, IN on Saturday August 15th at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice.
Survived by:
Nancy was the devoted wife of Gail Reed Kathrens, and children Bryon Reed Kathrens and Kim Marie Straub, as well as her only surviving sibling Beverly Kendall. She had two grandchildren Kara Marie Straub and Christiana Lee Straub. Nancy is also survived by several beautiful nieces and nephews.

Nancy was so good to me and helped so much when my father was sick and Kevin was a baby. I have so many good memories of you both and your parents. I will try to get int touch with you, Gail, when you return to Florida. So sorry for loss of such a great wife and mother to your children, God keep you safe and comfort you at this time.
