Maryellen (Endres) Rogers 90 a former Frankfort and Monticello resident, died at 4:10 p.m. April 22, 2011 at Parkwood Healthcare Center, Lebanon, IN. Born August 22, 1920 in Frankfort, IN to the late Phillip and Marie (Johnson) Endres. She married Charles C. Rogers on October 8, 1944 in Frankfort and he preceded her in death on January 10, 2000. Mrs. Rogers was a 1939 graduate of Frankfort High School. She lived in Frankfort until 1990, moved to Monticello until 2002, back to Frankfort for 2 years before moving to Lebanon. She was a homemaker. Her memberships include, Antioch Christian Church, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and was a member of the Loyal Workers Sunday School class, member of the Clinton County Home Extension Club, and founding member of the Phi Chi Epsilon Social Sorority. Mrs. Rogers was also a seamstress.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 27th from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Buntin Cemetery, south of Frankfort. Memorial donations to the Antioch Church Building Fund, envelopes will be available.

4 Sons: Larry E. Rogers of Frankfort, Mark L. (Wife Gayla) Rogers of Gainesville, GA, Rev. Rex A. (Wife Constance) Rogers of Belvidere, IL and Joe K. (Wife Sue) Rogers of Frankfort Daughter: June (Husband David) Rogers Haughton of Albuquerque, NM 2 Brothers: Robert Endres of Sarasota, FL and Donald (Wife Dorothy) Endres of Carmel 10 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren

    My sincerest sympathies to the Rogers Family. Some of my fondest childhood memories were spending time with all of you! Whether at the Antioch house or the lake cottages, Maryellen always made me feel at home. I will cherish the friendship she gave our family always. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

    Eber II and I send our sympathy. I talked to Maryellen a few times on the phone but we mainly remember Rex as a young man. Your family is in our prayers.

    June and Dave, please know we are thinking about you during this time of sorrow of losing your Mom from this earth however celebration knowing our Lord has received a soul. In reading the words about your Mom, it is apparent June, where some of your talents were inherited from. Prayers are being said for you and your family this week and more for safe journey back to your family here in Albuquerque.

    June and Dave, We are blessed; in that, in a small way we have gotten to know your Mom a bit. You have been given her Special gifts it seems …which we are blessed with-in knowing you and being a part of your church family. She sounds like she was an amazing woman. God bless you guys. We will continue to pray for comfort and peace for you all. As well as a safe drive home. Consider yourselves hugged.
