I live on Boone St. and would often see Martha walking and have spoken to her several times over the years. I was just thinking about her the other day, noticing I had not seen her for awhile. She was always such a sweetheart and always had a kind word to say. I’m sure others in the neighborhood feel the same way and will miss seeing her. My heart goes out to the family who has lost a fine woman and will be praying for you as you lay her to rest.

Facebook Twitter GoogleMrs. Pedigo lived two houses down from my parents house and I will never forget her. I enjoyed seeing her walk past my parents house multiple times a day. She loved to walk and sit outside in her lawn chair. My dad noticed that when she walked she would usually find a rock along her route and kick the rock down the street as she walked. If she lost the rock she would find a new one. It was really cute to watch her do this. She loved her family and her grandchildren. She would stop by on her walks and talk to my family and she would always talk about her kids and her grandchildren. She was always so proud of them. Ever since she went out to the Manor the neighborhood hasn’t been the same. We all miss seeing her on one of her many walks. She was a very sweet and cute woman. She may be gone, but she will never be forgotten. I am sure that she is walking around up in Heaven right now all while kicking a rock. Her memories will live on inside each one of us forever.

Facebook Twitter GoogleMyron, I didn’t know your mother, but I worked with you years ago at Wilderness Industries. After reading about her passing in the paper I felt compelled to offer my condolences. I am sure she will be missed very much. Especially after reading the other comments, she sounds like she was a very special lady. May Blessings of comfort be bestowed on your family.

Facebook Twitter GoogleWe were sad to learn of the passing of Martha. As neighbors we loved Martha and often had the chance to chat with her as she would return from one of her “3” walks a day. She was very proud of all her children and never failed to mention how good they were to her. We marveled on how she was able to mow the lawn in the heat and shovel the driveway in the cold and still had energy for another walk. We send our sympathy and will hold her memories in our hearts.
