Martha Goldsberry 83 of Frankfort, IN, died at 7:45 a.m. April 26, 2011 at Clinton House Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born August 25, 1927 in Frankfort, IN to the late Oscar & Alta (Hartley) Greene. She married Fred Goldsberry Jr. on December 22, 1946 in East Side Christian Church and he preceded her in death on December 21, 2002. Mrs. Goldsberry was a 1945 graduate of Frankfort High School and was a lifelong Frankfort resident. She worked in the office at Frankfort High School, was secretary at the Frankfort Lumber Yard, worked at Woolworths, delivered for Western Union during WWII and she worked at Mallory’s. She owned Hoosier Book & Bible Store that later became Heavenly Treasures. Mrs. Goldsberry retired on August 30, 1992. She was a charter member of the East Side Christian Church and taught children’s Sunday School classes for many years. She volunteered at Suncrest Elementary and was a Pink Lady at the St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital. A member of the O.E.S. Clinton Chapter #6, she was Past Matron and was Past Noble Grand of Abiah Rebekah Lodge #77.
Visitation and Services
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, April 29th from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home with an O.E.S. Service at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the East Side Christian Church, envelopes will be available.

2 Sons: David (Myriam) Goldsberry of Gurnee, IL and Mike (Barbara) Goldsberry of Frankfort
7 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, an infant grandson and 2 brothers.

Please accept our deepest regards for the loss of your mother (grandmother). You must be very proud of the life ,legacy, and witness that she is even this day as you remember this fine lady. I am personally very thankful for her influence even to my family and praise God for the foundation of faith that was shared through her life. May you receive comfort knowing that she now rests in the arms of our loving Father in Heaven. Thank you for sharing her life with me and our family. I am so sorry to hear of your Mom/Grandma’s passing. She was a sweet woman. I enjoyed her smile and encouraging words. She was always willing to help others. I will be praying that God will comfort you as only He can do, and will give thanks to Him for Martha’s life.
