Margaret Arlene Sheets Martin 91 of Frankfort, IN, passed away at 9:20 p.m. February 15, 2010 at Witham Memorial Hospital, Lebanon, IN. Born February 18, 1918 in Frankfort, Indiana, to Claude C. & Ofa Mae (Collins) Sheets. Her marriage of 62 years was to Paul Edward Martin on September 2, 1939. They were married by Rev. John Farr of the First Christian Church in Frankfort and Mr. Martin preceded her in death on February 23, 2002. Mrs. Martin was a 1936 graduate of Frankfort High School and took a post graduate course the next year. She was a lifelong Frankfort resident. Mrs. Martin was a cashier at the Roxy Theater, a waitress at Cream Rich and clerk for the Clinton County Treasurer’s Office. Her memberships include; First Christian Church, where she taught Sunday school for 40 years, 50 year member of Eastern Star Frankfort Chapter, American Legion Auxiliary #12, Home Economics Club, Republican Club, Jr. Arcadian Book Club, Royal Neighbors of America and a card club. She was also on the Center Township Advisory Board, was past president at Woodside P.T.A. and was a Girl Scout Leader at Woodside School.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 19, 2010 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, February 18th from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Green Lawn Mausoleum. Memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church or Clinton County Cancer Fund, envelopes will be available.

(John) Baer of Avon 4 Grandsons: Damon Trent (Stephanie) Basey of Thorntown, Bradley Neal Basey of Lebanon, Anthony Ryan Baer of California and Kyle Matthew (Socorro) Baer of St. John, IN 5 Great Grandchildren, Yumi, Caleb and Jack Baer, Zachary and Jadyn Basey, and two step great grandchildren, Tylor Smith and Cory Johnson
