Lewis W. Morris

Lewis William Morris 88 of Rural Michigantown, IN, died at 2:50 p.m. February 18, 2010 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. Born April 28, 1921 in Middlefork, IN to Russell J. & Flora Jane (Albaugh) Morris. He married Lois Dixon Fudge on May 26, 1968 and she survives. Mr. Morris was a graduate of Burlington High School and was a lifelong Clinton County resident. He was raised in the Union Baptist Church. He worked at Agmax for over 20 years in the office, credit union and elevators. After retirement he remodeled homes. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served during WWII.  He was a member of the American Legion in Frankfort.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, February 22nd from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Michigantown Youth League c/o Heather Roberts, P.O. Box 121, Michigantown, IN 46057.

Wife: Lois Morris of Rural Michigantown 3 Daughters: Marilyn Cale of Colorado Springs, CO, Judy (John) Price of Kirklin and Trudy (Jerry) Randolph of Lebanon 4 Sons: David (Chalour) Morris of Oklahoma City, OK, Jerry (Jackie) Fudge of Michigantown, Kelly (Lisa) Fudge of Covington and Brad (Lisa) Morris of Frankfort Brother: Max (Roberta) Morris of Rural Frankfort 12 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandson

    I am so sorry to hear the sad news about Lewie. I have known him for many years through working at Farm Bureau. He was always a pleasure to visit with and will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all his family during this sad time.

    I was very sorry to hear of Lewie’s passing. He was a wonderful, kind, gentle soul. I always enjoyed the time I was able to spend with him, He was a great husband and a wonderful father. My condolences to you and your family Lois. You are all in my prayers.
