Lewis Edward ‘Lew’ Wallace Sr.

Lewis Edward “Lew” Wallace Sr. 69, of Clarks Hill, IN passed away in his home at 5:10 PM, Tuesday, June 23, 2009 after an extended illness. Born July 16, 1939 in Terre Haute, IN to the late Clarence & Lavera (DeMoss) Wallace. Married Brenda Faye Knuckles on May 22, 1960 and she survives. Mr. Wallace retired in 2000 from Sun Chemical in Frankfort after 27 years working in maintenance. He attended Terre Haute Wiley High School before serving in the US Air Force from 1956-1960. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening along with watching Notre Dame and Colts football.

Visitation and Services

Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM, Friday, June 26, 2009 at the Goodwin Funeral Home in Frankfort. Friends may call from 5-8 PM, Thursday, June 25, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clarks Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Clinton County Cancer Fund.

Wife: Brenda Wallace of Clarks Hill, IN 3 Sons: Anthony Ray Wallace, Jeffery James Wallace and Donald Lewis Wallace all of Clarks Hill, IN. 8 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren, 3 Brothers and 4 Sisters

    I hate to hear about Lew, he was a good man. I always enjoyed talking with him and having a couple cold ones. My two sons, Mike and Chad grew up with your boys and always said how nice all of you was to them when they come around. They are both saddened to hear about Lew also.
