Kenneth E. Skinner, 67 of Frankfort, died May 9, 2020 at his home.  He was born June 10, 1952 in Frankfort to Glenn & Mabel (Sturgis) Skinner.  He married Cathy Hedge on May 27, 1972 and she preceded him in death on November 7, 2014.  He married Connie (Adams) Cooper on April 23, 2016 and she survives.

Kenneth was a 1970 graduate of Frankfort High School and was a lifelong Frankfort resident.  He worked for General Battery/Exide for 25 years, as a laborer and foreman and then since 1995 has been a shipping clerk for Donaldson’s.  Kenneth was a member and Elder at the Community Christian Church.  He was also a member of Gold Wing Road Riders Association.  He was umpire for girls softball and volleyball, was active with Coach Kids, where he was a board of director and a mentor.

Visitation and Services

Restricted visitation is 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Community Christian Church, 1944 S. Jackson St., Frankfort. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the church. Tim Grasham will officiate. Entombment will be in Green Lawn Mausoleum. Memorial donations may be made to Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease, 3634 W. Market St., Suite 110, Akron, OH 44333, Coach Kids, 554 W. Walnut St., Frankfort, IN 46041 or Indiana Greyhound Pets of America, P.O. Box 42304, Indianapolis, IN 46242. I graduated with both Kenny and Linda at Frankfort, and remember both of them as wonderful people.     Ken was a former student of mine at Frankfort High School. If memory serves me right, I also had his wife and two children. Ken was a quiet young man but never missed a class meeting and always submitted his work on time. To his family and friends, my deepest condolences and prayers for all as you move forward.     My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Ken was a great guy and I enjoyed working with him. We would always tease each other about him being a Purdue fan and me being a Notre Dame fan. I will always remember those days! You will be greatly missed, but I know you are in great hands now walking those beautiful streets of gold and I will see you again one day. God bless!

    I am so very sorry for your loss. I worked with Kenny for many years at Donaldson. I was also his team leader in shipping for along time. He was a good person. I retired in Feb 2018 after 33yrs. The last time I saw Kenny was early last year at Hoops eating breakfast with his wife. He looked very happy. That’s is how I will remember him. He will be missed and will always be part of Donaldson family. Over the years he always spoke of the family he loved. God bless
