Karen A. Thompson

Karen A. Thompson, 80, of Frankfort, died April 4, 2023 at Mulberry Health and Retirement Community.  She was born November 5, 1942 in Clinton County, Ind to Don & Mary (Brandenburg) Baty.  She married Russell J. Thompson in 1961 at Woodside Christian Church and he preceded her in death on May 6, 2016.

Karen was a graduate of Frankfort High School and was a lifelong Clinton County resident.  She was a homemaker and employed for many years by The Farmer’s Bank, Frankfort.  She was a member of the Woodside Christian Church and attended New Life Assembly of God. Karen was active in the Woodside Dorcas Circle, played in several Euchre Clubs, enjoyed bird watching and loved her grandchildren.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2023 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society, P.O. Box 455, Frankfort, IN 46041.

Son: Robert Thompson of rural Frankfort, Brother: Larry (Dorothy) Myers of Clinton, IN, 3 Grandchildren: David (Ashley) Thompson of McCordsville, IN, Jennifer Lucio of Colfax, Rob (Sandy) Thompson of Frankfort and 4 Great-Grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Thompson, brother, Donny Baty, daughter-in-law, Kim Thompson and grandson-in-law, Jeremy Lucio.
