Julia K. Huffer 92, former Frankfort resident died on May 9, 2009 at 10:20 am, at her home in Lebanon. She was born on February 22, 1917 in Clinton County, the daughter of George B. 'Mac" and Virginia (Heavilon) Knapp. She married Reldo L. Huffer on March 20, 1947 in Frankfort, IN and he preceded her in death on November 18, 1994. Mrs. Huffer was a 1935 graduate of Frankfort High School and lived in Montgomery County, Clinton County and moved to Lebanon in 1994. She was a homemaker and farm wife. She was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church, was active in the Darlington Garden Club and a member of the Captain Harmon Aughe D.A.R. Chapter since she was 18 years old.
Visitation and Services
Services will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Goodwin Funeral Home, Frankfort, IN with Tom Jameson officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:30 pm until time of service. Mrs. Huffer will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Frankfort, IN. Memorials may be made to: First Evangelical Presbyterian Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
