Johnny L. Floyd 68 of Frankfort, IN, died at 9:40 a.m. October 29, 2010 at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital. Born April 14, 1942 in Somerset, KY to the late Eldon & Stella May (Gossard) Floyd. He married Shirley E. Shoaf on April 1, 1962 in Frankfort and she survives. Mr. Floyd attended school in Somerset, KY. He worked as a auto body technician for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and driving derby cars with his son, Mike. Johnny was a good friend & coworker to the Eglehoff family.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, November 1, 2010 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday, October 31, 2010 from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Donations in memory of Floyd may be made to the family for the benefit of his granddaughters. Envelopes will be available.

Wife: Shirley E. Floyd of Frankfort 3 Granddaughters: Stacia Floyd of Peoria, IL, Kourtney Floyd and Kinzey Floyd both of Frankfort 1 Brother: Coy Russell Floyd of Somerset, KY 3 Sisters: Wanita F. (Donnie) Cox of Frankfort, Murlie Wesley and Violet Levine both of Somerset, KY

Preceded by:

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Kenneth Floyd and a son, Michael Floyd in 1999.

    Shirley, I was so sorry to hear about John. He was a really nice man & I always enjoyed talking with him when he came into our office. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this sad time.

    Shirley, my thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of loss. I have fond memories of Johnny as a teenager when we got together at your house with Mike. Lot’s of good times. I hope you find peace in knowing he is with Mike in heaven.
