Joann B. Eldridge

Joann B. Eldridge 72 of Frankfort, IN, died at 2:15 a.m. September 10, 2010 at Clarian Arnett Hospital, Lafayette, IN. Born October 30, 1937 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Pope & Leola (Middleton) Smith. She married Albert Eldridge on December 23, 1952 and he survives. Mrs. Eldridge moved to Frankfort in 1957 from Harlan, Kentucky. She was a homemaker. A loving wife, mother and devoted grandmother, she enjoyed attending events of her grandchildren.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 13, 2010 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday, September 12th from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation, envelopes will be available.

1 Son: Billy R. Eldridge of Frankfort 3 Daughters: Cheryl J. Hicks, Cathy J. Cranfill and Carla J. (Bill) Zerfas all of Frankfort 3 Sisters: Nancy Armes of Michigan, Henrietta Leckrone of Frankfort and Lucy Short of Michigan 4 Grandchildren: Clinton Eldridge, Kyle, Kody and Alisha Zerfas 4 Great Grandchildren

Preceded by:

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Pope & Fred Smith, 3 Sisters, June Brittian, Mary Sue Skinner and Sally Sampson.

    I am so sorry for your loss. I just learned about this at 10:45 AM on 9-13-10 by e-mail. My prayers are with your family today. Joann and Albert have always been very special in my life from the years I worked with Albert as he helped me build Dry Dock Storage. Again my prayers and special thoughts to the family at this time of loss.

    During this time of great sorrow, may it comfort you to know that others are deeply touched by your loss. I too know the pain of losing someone dear. Even though our hearts are broken, rest assure that our Grand Creator cares about you personally (1 Peter 5:7) and can help you through this difficult time. Revelation 21:4 speaks of a time soon when God will do away with death forever. There will be no more sorrow, heartache, or pain. May your happy memories and sure scriptural hope comfort your hearts during this painful time.
