Died at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Witham Hospital, Lebanon, IN. She was born February 8, 1931 in Kokomo, IN to Carl Phillip & Naomi Rachael (Pippenger) Weismantel. She married Darris Dale Davis on June 1, 1947 in Kokomo, IN and he preceded her in death on December 22, 2003.

Mrs. Davis attended Kokomo High School. For 35 years, she was a child caretaker. She resided in Kokomo before moving to Frankfort in 1947. Mrs. Davis was of the Wesleyan Faith and a volunteer for the Salvation Army.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, envelopes will be available.

1 Son: Max Stephen (Shelly) Davis of Frankfort, IN

1 Daughter: Teresa Kay (Gregory) Gillum of Fayette, AL

Brother: Max Weismantel of Marion, IN

3 Grandchildren: Brenda Jo (Cory) Gibbons of Frankfort, IN
Christopher H. (Donna) Gillum of Bear Creek, AL
Audrie R. (Paul Borden) Gillum of Jasper, AL

2 Great Grandchildren, Breanna Gibbons & Jillian Gillum, Nieces, Naomi Crayborn, Lavee Adams and Eddie Daily and Nephew, Brent Weismantel also survive.

She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
