Irene Lane Cole 94 a longtime Clinton County resident, died at 2 a.m. Saturday, August 07, 2010 in the Homewood Health Care Center, Lebanon, IN where she had resided for the past 6 years. Born June 6, 1916 in Boone County, IN to the late William Edward & Clara Belle (Griffith) Lane. She married Lory Cole on July 14, 1934 in Frankfort and he preceded her in death in 1989. Mrs. Cole was a homemaker and farm wife along with being a talented seamstress. She also worked as a cook at Clinton Central High School for several years. Irene was a 1934 graduate of Michigantown High School and was a member of the Michigantown Christian Church and the Michigantown Homemakers.

Visitation and Services

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at the Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the services at Green Lawn Memorial Park in Frankfort.
