Inez Winifred Myers Merrill, 88, formerly of Frankfort, IN, passed away January 9, 2012 in Daly City, CA. Born Sept 21, 1923 in Boswell, Indiana to William F. & Esther L. (Rockhold) Waltz. She married Levi Myers on June 1, 1946. After an accident left him totally paralyzed, she devoted herself to being his caregiver until he passed away on October 31, 1971. She then married Charles L. Merrill on September 21, 1980 and he preceded her in death on October 23, 1981. Winifred was a 1941 graduate of Boswell High School and moved to Frankfort in 1946. She worked as an Office Clerk for the W.F. Anderson Company. She was a former member of Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion and VFW, Women of the Moose, Eagles Auxiliary and a 50 year member of the Clinton Chapter #6 Order of Eastern Star. She also attended the First Christian Church in Frankfort before moving to California in 1999. A kind and generous person, she will be remembered for her loving and optimistic personality.

Visitation and Services

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday January 17, 2012 at the Green Lawn Cemetery Chapel of Peace. Janet Pillion will officiate. Burial will follow the services in Green Lawn Memorial Park.

    Family, so sorry to hear of your loss. So many people loved Winifred. Mom sure has missed talking to her.
