F. Earl Davis 92, of Frankfort, died at 8:00 a.m. November 22, 2010 at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital. Born May 30, 1918 in Colfax, IN to Ferris E. & Mary “Addie” (Smith) Davis.
He married Ruth E. Cotton on April 7, 1946 in Portsmouth, VA and she preceded him in death on July 20, 2004. Mr. Davis was a 1937 graduate of Colfax High School and was a lifelong Clinton County resident. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps from Dec. 1941 to March of 1946, he served in China. He was an inspector for Rea Magnet Wire, retiring in 1983 after 21 years. He had previously done farm work, sales and production work, working for Indiana Brass and Frazier’s Dairy. His memberships include; First Baptist Church, where and his wife Ruth were one of the original members of the 70 & 2 Sunday school class, member of American Legion and VFW. He enjoyed fishing and loved antique cars and spent numerous hours working on his cars at home.
Visitation and Services
Services will be 10 am Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, November 26th at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Memory Care Unit at Wesley Manor.

4 Daughters: Paula Perkins (Graydon) of Lafayette, Claudia Thorne (Andy) of Chicago, IL, Mary Lynn Peter (Randy) of Frankfort and Pam Bailey (Bill) of Rural Frankfort
2 Sisters: Ann Highly of Frankfort and Rosemary Warner of Florida
8 Grandchildren: Richard, Amy, Jason, Casey, Justin, Stacey, Jake and Kristen
9 Great Grandchildren: Keyshla, Samantha, Kaden, Braden, Kyzor, Michael, Aaron, Bethany and Grace

He was preceded in death by a son, Barry Davis in 1991, and three sisters.
Mary Lynn and family….So sorry to hear of your loss. Fathers are special! Jeff and I will keep you in our thoughts at this time. Memories will help to heal!

Facebook Twitter GoogleMy condolence to the family. Earl was a great guy! He used to be a shuttle driver for us at DeFord Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep. He had a great sense of humor and would do anything for ya. He reminded me of my dad in looks and actions. I will always hold fond memories of him!
