  1. Charlie and Sue Fink July 22, 2010 at 8:39 pm

Gene committed his life to many children in public education. He was a very dedicated educator who I had the privilege of learning from in my early years at Clinton Prairie. He was a leader who helped in the formative years of consolidation at Clinton Prairie.
Our thoughts and concerns are for his family.

  3. Mary Cox July 23, 2010 at 9:23 am

I was so sorry to hear of your loss -I graduated from High School with Margaret and she and Gene had been friends of my late husband, Raymond, and I for many years. I am now 96 and living with a daughter in Kentucky but still have fond memories of Gene. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

  4. Carolyn McDonald July 23, 2010 at 2:25 pm

I have only the fondest memories of Gene as an administrator during my first years of teaching at Clinton Prairie. I recall one rainy morning when he, with umbrella in hand, greeted his teachers at their car doors so that we wouldn’t get wet as we entered the building! He truly was a kind and gentle man.
    My condolences to his family
