Eloise J. Pierce

Eloise J. Pierce 86, of Speedway, IN, died the morning of September 18, 2009 at her home. Born November 8, 1922 in Frankfort, IN, to Harry & Ella C. (Lipp) Volz.  She married Bob J. Pierce on November 7, 1943 and he survives. Mrs. Pierce was a 1941 graduate of Frankfort High School and moved from Frankfort to Speedway in 1950. She was a secretary at the Frankfort High School in the 1940’s. Mrs. Pierce was a member of the John Knox Presbyterian Church in Speedway and was a loving homemaker.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 1:30 Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Goodwin Funeral Home, Frankfort. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2009 at the Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center, 2950 N. High School Road in Speedway and one hour prior to the service in Frankfort on Tuesday. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials donations may be made to the John Knox Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 3000 N. High School Road, Indianapolis, IN 46224.

Husband: Bob J. Pierce of Speedway 2 Sons: Mike (Diane) Pierce of Avon and Dan (Jill) Pierce of Whitefish Bay, WI 1 Daughter: Carole Pierce of Redwood City, CA 2 Grandchildren: Chris Pierce of West Lafayette and Jessica Lee of Redwood City

She was preceded in death by brother, Robert Volz, two sisters, Mary Davis and Sally Smith and one granddaughter.

    My sincerest sympathy to all of you. Eloise was a beautiful, kind, loving and funny lady. She always made me feel very special. I have always felt that her and Bob had a great influence on the person I am today. I know that God has a special place in heaven for her. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

    Please accept our sympathies from all the family. Aunt Eloise was always a joy to be around and she will be truly missed. It breaks our hearts that we can not be with you. We know that God is with her and her famly.
