Doris F. Ayers

Doris F. Ayers 90, of Frankfort, IN, died at 5:30 a.m. October 22, 2012 at Wesley Manor Health and Retirement Community. Born March 28, 1922 in Frankfort, IN to Lloyd and Ruby (Reed) Ayers. Miss Ayers was a 1940 graduate of Frankfort High School and was a lifelong Frankfort resident. She worked for the State of Indiana Clinton County Welfare Department for 33 years, retiring on April 28, 1989. She was an active member at the First Wesleyan Church, was a member of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union and Retired Indiana Public Employees Association.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, October 25th from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral Home. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

4 Brothers: Roy “Taxi” (Mary) Ayers of Frankfort, Robert Ayers of Indianapolis, Donald (Rosemary) Ayers of Victoria, TX and Kenneth (Nancy) Ayers of Union City, IN 1 Sister: Carol Stringer of Frankfort 12 Nephews, 8 Nieces and Several Great Nieces and Nephews

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Paul and James Ayers and a sister, Maxine Ayers.

    Sarah and I both loved her very much and will miss her. She was always so sweet and kind. She invited us to lunch a few times when we lived in Frankfort, and she always had toys for Sarah to play with and stacked phone books on the chair as a booster seat. With Love, Julie and Sarah
