Donald E. Riegle Jr. 74, of Frankfort, IN, died at 5:25 p.m. December 5, 2009 at Clinton House. He had been ill the past year. Born May 9, 1935 in Clinton County, IN to Donald E. Riegle Sr. and Lucille (Redman) Riegle. He married Carolyn S. Reed on June 11, 1954 and she survives. Mr. Riegle was a 1953 graduate of Frankfort High School and lived in Frankfort his entire life. He was an electrician for Nickel Plate Railroad for 5 years, from 1961-1985 he was a firefighter for the Frankfort Fire Department, and for almost 50 years, he was a service man for Culligan. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Moose Lodge. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and trap shooter. Don’s family was most important to him. He was actively working and supporting the move over law, with the State of Indiana, to protect utility workers.
Visitation and Services
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 8, 2009 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church or Area IV Head Start, envelopes will be available

3 Daughters: Cindi (Jeff) Shirar of Frankfort, Kim (Jay) Shanks of Frankfort and Jennie Riegle of Frankfort
1 Son: Dan (Sherri) Riegle of Frankfort
1 Sister: Rosemary (Carl) Blessing of Farmville, VA
13 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by grandson, Bryan Osbon on May 20, 2008 and his parents.
Sincere condolences. I played basketball with Don at Frankfort High School. I particularly remember our game in the Regional at the Purdue Fieldhouse (March 1953) -great memory because we beat the Jefferson Broncos and Don was one of the reasons we won.
