Dawn Michelle Kelley, 47, of  Frankfort died peacefully in her home on May 31, 2012 at 2:15 p.m.  She was born on April 20, 1965 in Frankfort to Don and Diana (Smith) Elliott.  She married Tim J. Kelley on June 20, 1987 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Frankfort and he survives.  Dawn was a graduate of Frankfort Senior High School Class of 1983.  She attended IU and graduated from IVY Tech.  She was a surgical technician and office manager for Dr. Mohammad Nekoomaram in Kokomo, IN for over 25 years.  She was a lifelong Frankfort resident.  Dawn was a most loving person, known as a caregiver to all.  She enjoyed flowers, animals, and traveling – especially the sand and water of Siesta Key, FL.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home in Frankfort, IN, with Tom Jameson officiating.  Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, June 3, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Cancer Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at goodwinfuneralhome.com

Surviving along with her husband are her Mother:  Diana Elliott (Companion:  Jack Leach) of Frankfort;  Sister:  Dana Elliott of Frankfort;  Step-Son:  Joseph P. Kelley;  Nephew:  Eric (Annette) Kelley of Frankfort;  Niece:  Erin Kelley (Josh) Swinford of Frankfort;  Godchildren:  Nathan and Madeline Dawn Scott of West Lafayette;  Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law:  Mike and Diana Kelley of Frankfort;  and 10 Great Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father:  Don Elliott.

    I was so shocked to read about Dawn’s passing. She was such a wonderful, caring person and I thought so much of her. The world lost a beautiful soul, inside and out, but heaven is gaining a wonderful angel. Dawn, you will greatly missed by all who knew you! Teresa Kelley

    I am so very sorry for the loss of your wife, daughter, mother, sister. I knew Dawn very well working with her in surgery some years ago. She was an inspiration in many ways and I will miss her smile, her kindness and gentleness of heart. God be with you as we know Dawn is now with God.

    Prayers go out to Dawn’s family. I know she will be missed. To Dawn, I just wanted to say thank you for all the times I was under Doc’s care and you were so kind to me. You always knew how to make your patients feel at ease. God bless and may you rest in peace.

    I was a patient of Dr. Nekoomaram’s in 1990 and 2000 as I had both shoulders operated on. Dawn was the nicest person you could have with you during office visits and in surgery. I liked her very much. I didn’t know she was sick, I wish I had known. I haven’t had to have an office visit for some time so I hadn’t seen her lately. I did run into her at Wal Mart occasionally. She will be missed greatly. I am so sorry for the family. She was a true and kind professional. I am sure Dr. Nekoomaram will miss her expertise. Again so sorry. Deloris McCarter Forest, Indiana

    I was so sad to hear about Dawn. I worked with her many years ago. She was one of the sweetest, kindest, most caring people I have ever met. I’m so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with all.

    I am deeply saddened by Dawn’s passing. I have known Dawn for 14 years at Howard Regional and she was truly a wonderful person. She was such a compassionate care giver, and she will be greatly missed!

    I worked with Dawn and I concur she was a lovely, sweet, kind-hearted lady. I so much enjoyed getting to know her and she will be missed so much. Dawn, you were a role model to all of us in health care as you showed such compassion and kindness to every individual you came in contact with. You were always there to offer a word of encouragement and your beautiful smile. My most sincere sympathies to all of Dawn’s family. She truly touched so many lives.

    I am so sorry for your loss. Dawn was a very caring and loving person. I knew her through Dr Nekoomaram’s office as well as HRHS. She was one of the most kind and caring people I have ever met. I first met her when she and Dr Nekoomaram took care of my sister before she passed and she would call me occasionally just to see how I was doing and if there was anything she could do for me. We both laughed and cried together. Take peace in knowing that her suffering is over and she will spend eternity in God’s presence.

    Dawn was an exceptional caregiver. I can say she was one of the reasons I continued to return to Dr Nekoomaram. I enjoyed her total dedication and I was devastated to learn that she had developed her tragic illness. Since I talked to her about it she was in my prayers every night. We are the lucky ones to have known her and was tended to by her. God bless Dawn and her family.
