Cole Andrew Mundy, 22 months, of Colfax, passed away August 24, 2023 at his home.  He was born November 1, 2021 in Lafayette, Ind. to Andrew & Madison (Corbin) Mundy.

Our little squinty nose, blue eyed, smiley baby was loved by many, especially his parents.  Always full of curiosity and energy.  We wish we could have seen him grow up more.  He would have been such a great man.  We know Meme & Papaw will be so happy to see their baby boy, but we here on earth are going to miss that kid.  Cole lit up the room, was a happy lil man and was a joy to be around.  Sometimes the people we have only known for a short amount of time have a bigger impact on us than those we’ve known forever.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 4-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at the Colfax Christian Church. A Celebration of Life will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the church. A private family burial will take place in Plainview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Colfax Lions Club Park or directly to The Mundy Family, P.O. Box 131, Colfax, IN 46035.

his parents: Andrew & Madison Mundy of Colfax, Maternal Grandparents: Jeremy & Andrea Corbin of Frankfort, Paternal Grandparents: Rick & Jennifer Mundy of Jamestown, Aunts: Alysa (Jerod) Sutton of Jamestown, Shannon (Sam) Friend of Greencastle, Brittany (JD) Gates of Brazil, Julia (Jacob) Alvarez of Fillmore, Macy and McKinley Corbin both of Frankfort, Uncles: Samuel Mundy of Jamestown, Malachi, Micah, Matthias, Maverick, McAlister, and Maxton Corbin, all of Frankfort, as well as cousins and great grandparents.

    I don’t even know what to say, it doesn’t feel real at all. I never got the pleasure of fully meeting Cole but I’m sure he was a little angel and a beam of light, and even though he isn’t with us, I hope his memory still serves as a light to those who loved him.

    Madison, Jeremy, Andrea and family I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I can’t imagine how broken your hearts are or the unimaginable pain that you will always carry.     My heart and soul is breaking for you and your family. I have only lived in Colfax 5 years and feel like I know everyone even if I haven’t met you. Prayers for you and your family. I will ask my mom and dad to keep an eye on him. Till we all meet in Our Father’s Kingdom. Lord, please watch over this little soul til his family meets up with him. Take care of them and help guide them through the pain, to be able to smile again one day, looking back on the memories of their little boy without tears but with joy knowing that at least for a short while they got to know him and play and laugh and make fond memories. Please Father ease their breaking heart so they may at least be able to live keeping his memories alive in their hearts and soul knowing they will meet again. We all know you have plan for each and every one of us. Help this family know you and keep you in their hearts and not loose faith because they do not understand why. Help them ease this pain and know that one day they will meet again. Our Heavenly Father, I Pray AMEN.
