Clyde D. Woodruff 91 of rural Frankfort, died at 7:10 a.m. August 16, 2010 at Clinton Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born March 10, 1919 in Frankfort, IN to the late Harry Roy & Clara B. (Wilson) Woodruff. He married Hila M. Curtis on June 15, 1940 in Clayton, MO and she preceded him in death on June 1, 2009. Mr. Woodruff attended Frankfort High School and was a lifelong Frankfort resident. A Veteran of WWII, he served in the U.S. Army in the 38th Division. He was part of the original invasion of the Philippine Island of Leyte, serving 64 straight days in combat. He retired as CEO from Ingram-Richardson Company, Inc. after working for over 40 years, beginning when he was 16 years of age. Mr. Woodruff was a former member of the Clinton Masonic Lodge, a member of the American Legion and was an avid golfer.
Visitation and Services
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 18th at the funeral home. Burial with military rites will be in Green Lawn Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available.

5 Grandchildren: Troy, Lisa, Ty, Clay and Kriss
9 Great Grandchildren: Jamae, Steven, Abbie, Morgan, Riley, Zakk, Brady, Hayden and Evan
