Charles W. Langkop Jr. 85 of rural Frankfort, IN, died at 7:30 p.m. June 2, 2011 at Mulberry Health & Retirement Community. Born March 25, 1926 in Wise County, Virginia to the late Charles & Marie (Bealies) Langkop. He married Virginia Doyle on May 19, 1949 and she survives. Mr. Langkop was raised by his grandmother, Caroline Bealies until she passed when he was 16, he then went to live with his aunt Pearl Boyles. He attended school in Ewing, Virginia. He lived in Virginia and Tennessee before moving to Frankfort in 1957. He worked in construction for the Local Union #274 for 50 years, retiring in 1988. He also worked for the War Department of the Army Service Forces Corps of Engineers in Oak Ridge, TN in the production of the Atomic Bomb. Mr. Langkop was a member of the Wea Ridge Baptist Church in Lafayette.
Visitation and Services
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, June 6th from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Cancer Fund, envelopes will be available

2 Sons: Jerry (Carol) Langkop of Frankfort and Donald Langkop of Mooresville
9 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren
