Charlene Rae Henry

July 14, 2023

Charlene Rae Henry, 54, of Frankfort, Ind., passed away peacefully on Friday evening, July 14, 2023.  She spent her final hours surrounded by her mother and 2 sisters before she met her Lord and Savior in Heaven.  Charlene was born May 4, 1969 in Frankfort to Leland Ray & Judith Elaine (Davison) Henry.

She was a 1988 graduate of Western Boone High School and was a member of the Kirklin Christian Church.  Charlene had struggled with physical and mental health challenges all of her life, but was able to still lead a happy and fulfilled life.  She had worked at the ARC of Greater Boone County for over 30 years until her health no longer allowed her to do so.  She had lived in an independent living facility through Normal Life of Sheridan, Inc. in both Noblesville and Westfield from 2014-2021 before moving to Clinton House Rehabilitation and Heathcare Center in December 2021.  Charlene loved her family, her friends, her church family, the family pets through the years, music and sports.  Her favorite teams were the Cincinnati Reds, the I.U. Hoosiers, the Indianapolis Colts and the Indiana Pacers.  She particularly loved Steve Alford (IU), Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck (Colts), Reggie Miller (Pacers) and Johnny Bench (Reds).  Charlene loved country and gospel music: (Rascal Flatts, The Oak Ridge Boys, The Gaithers, The Statler Brothers and her church’s local quartet “The Gospel Echoes” to name a few).  She also loved word search puzzles, playing her CD’s and reading her daily bible devotions faithfully.  She was loved by more people than she could have ever imagined. Charlene loved Jesus and overcame her fear of water to become an immersed believer following him.  She is now completely healed and walking the Streets of Gold with her loved ones in Heaven
