Carolyn Sue (Hall) Brittain 63, of rural Forest, IN, died 12:17 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2012 at her residence, after a two year illness. Born February 10, 1948 in Frankfort, she was the daughter of Keith & Alpha (Smith) Hall. She was a 1966 graduate of Frankfort Senior High School. On May 6, 1966 she married Dale Brittain and he survives. Mrs. Brittain loved her family and friends and also loved to read, fish and paint pictures. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church, rural Forest, and the women’s missionary.

Visitation and Services

Friends may call Wednesday, February 8, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon followed by a memorial service at 12:30 p.m. at the Union Baptist Church, 8280 E CR 800 N, Forest, IN. Richard Morrow will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Union Baptist Church or the twin granddaughters, Sophia and Marissa’s education fund. The Brittains wish to thank the Guardian Angel Hospice for all their help and services.

Survived by:

Three daughters, Carrie Ray and Kelly (Marcus) Fine both of Frankfort and Heather Brittain of Logansport, three grandchildren, Sophia and Marissa Mayfield and Aaron Davidson.

Preceded by:

She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, 1 sister and 1 grandson.

    I loved Carolyn like she was a sister. She was a sister, confidante and friend. She will be sadly missed.

    Its hard to believe that you are gone and hard to say just how much you will be missed and how much you are loved. You were the kindest warmest gentlest woman I know and am not sure how our world will go on with out you.

    Dale and family, I grew up about 2 blocks away from the Hall family and remember Carolyn especially I am so sorry to hear of your loss…I have fond memories of us children…playing at Third Street Park and sometimes walking to Kyger School together. Holding you all in the Light…

    Dear Brittain Family,
    We are so very sorry for your loss. Carolyn was a very loving and kind person. She wrote us one of the nicest notes of encourangement and praise during our practice years in Frankfort. We hope the “peace that passes all understanding” will comfort all of you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
