C A and Bev were so kind to us, each time we came from Oregon to visit Indiana! They always made us feel welcome in their home and Bev made us great, home cooked meals!!
We will miss them both and would like the family to know how much they meant to us!
    C A & Bev are together now!

I knew C A and Beverly from the doc office. I so enjoyed talking with them. We always talked about gardening and good southern meals. Thanks to C A we talked about half runner green beans and I got some and grew them! Both are very loving people. I sure do miss talking with them.

I enjoyed working with C. A. when I was athletic director at West Lafayette Jr/Sr HS in the late 1990s. He was always pleasant, fun to be around, and took pride in his work. May he rest in peace.

John, Kathy, Ruth and your families, I watched your memorial video just now! You have had a wonderful family to keep in your memory box! Through good times, lean times, sad times and glad times, it looked like there was always love to help you through! I pray that you will always stay strong in your family heart! We knew both your Dad and Mom for many years and know there were struggles, but underneath it all there was still love! Never forget that that one thing can conquer all if you will let it into your heart! Our sincere condolences to you and your family for the loss of your Father! I’m sure it will be a big adjust for John especially as they were so close! But a girl never forgets her Daddy, either! I pray you each find the solace and comfort you need.
    In love and prayer,
    Jim and Diana Schutz

I am unable to attend C A’s visitation and memorial tomorrow but I would like for his family to know how much everyone who knew him from his years at West Lafayette Jr-Sr High School thought of him as a wonderful employee and person. When I met C A, I was a teacher and Jr. High Athletics Supervisor where I would frequently see and have conversations with him about all sorts of things. C A and several others on the crew at that time came to work at WL after National Homes closed, and they were all proud of the work they did there and they brought the same caring work ethic to our school. Because of people like C A, our school has never looked as good as it did during those years! But he also cared about getting to know people who worked here and for me, I always appreciated that he always asked about my young family and the advice he frequently shared. I am glad that CA had a good “life after work” and that he meant so much to many other people that he encountered. C A was one of the good ones and my condolences to his friends and family.
