Beulah Maxine Pence

Beulah Maxine Pence 88, of Greencastle and a former Frankfort resident, passed away at 3:13 p.m. March 7, 2010. She was a resident Asbury Towers, Greencastle, IN and passed away peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones. Maxine was born January 2, 1922 in Aurora, IN. She was the daughter of Irwin A. & Edna (Reed) Payne. She married Harold C. Pence on May 25, 1941 in Frankfort, IN and he passed away on June 16, 1983. Maxine was a member of the First Baptist Church in Frankfort, IN. She has worked at Harmesons and Jules Simon in Frankfort.

Visitation and Services

Funeral Services will be held at Goodwin Funeral Home in Frankfort, Indiana on March 11, 2010. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Mausoleum. Reverend Charles Williams, pastor of First Baptist Church and Reverend Steve Williams of Grace Tabernacle, Greencastle will be officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, envelopes will be available.

(Exie) Pence of Frankfort 2 Daughters: Rita Pauline (Joe) Ferguson of Greencastle and Mary Marlene (Don) Spangle of Flora 4 Sisters: Inez Pence of Frankfort, Charlene Birden of Michigantown, Helen Ray of Lafayette and Emmaline Staley of Raeford, NC 2 Brothers: Irwin Payne of Ocala, FL and William Payne of Lafayette 5 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren

    Rita & Joe,
    I am very sorry to hear about your loss. I enjoyed very much taking care of and spending time with your mother while I worked at Asbury. I would ask Darby often how she was doing after I left. My thoughts are with you during this time. Take Care.
