Betty June Gregg, 78, of Bloomfield, Indiana, died June 16, 2019 at her home. She was born July 14, 1940 in St. Louis, MO to William Raymond & Thelma Lee (Downs) Knuckles. She married William Russell Gregg on October 26, 1959 and he preceded her in death on March 11, 2017.
Betty graduated from high school and attended Vincennes University where she received her associate’s degree in primary education. She then attended Ball State University, receiving her bachelor’s degree in primary education. Betty had lived in Hillisburg and Jefferson before moving to Bloomfield in 2000. She was a homemaker and served as a minister’s wife from 1976 until William’s passing. She was a member of the Hebron Regular Baptist Church, where she was very active in the ladies auxiliary group. Betty enjoyed playing the piano, crocheting, was an avid reader and loved being with her grandchildren.
Visitation and Services
A graveside funeral celebration will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Green Lawn Chapel of Peace, 496 W CR 200 S., Frankfort (State Road 39 one mile south of Frankfort). Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park. No visitation is planned.

3 Sons: Timothy Russell Gregg of Bloomfield, Michael (Shawn) Gregg of Bloomfield, William Howard Gregg of Bloomfield, Daughter: Betty Michelle “Shelly” (Jeff) Gregg Pittman of St. Louis, MO, 3 Brothers: Cliff Dewayne (Linda) Knuckles of Frankfort, Ted (Susan) Knuckles of Tipton, Mick (Micki) Knuckles of Frankfort, Sister: Dorothy (Larry) Myers of Clinton, 14 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Wallace, brothers, Roger Dean Knuckles & Donald Knuckles and daughter-in-law, Tammy Gregg.
