Betty Anne Griffis 81, of Frankfort, IN, died at 1:06 a.m. September 2, 2013 at her home, following a brief illness. Born January 31, 1932 in Frankfort, IN to Kenneth E. & Helen (Brunswick) Smith.
She married Thomas H. Griffis on June 26, 1953 and he preceded her in death on February 28, 2001. Mrs. Griffis was a 1950 graduate of Frankfort High School and was a homemaker. She was a former member of the Kilmore United Methodist Church and a former member of Rebeccas. Betty enjoyed crocheting and reading.

Visitation and Services

Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Kilmore Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

2 Sons: Dan (Lynnette) Griffis of rural Frankfort, Steve Griffis of rural Frankfort, 2 Daughters: Laurie Payne of Frankfort, Dawn (Sam) Barker of Frankfort, 1 Brother: Kenny Smith Jr. of Arizona, 2 Sisters: Mary Lewis of Fairmount, IN, Myrna Dillman of Willard, OH, 11 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren.

Preceded by:

Her parents, husband and 2 sisters.
