Barbara Sue Bragg

Barbara Sue Bragg, 86, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2021, at Wesley Manor, where she had resided for several years.  Barbara was born in Frankfort on August 5, 1935, to Floyd P. Bragg and Anna Ruth (Sheets) Bragg.

Barbara graduated from Frankfort High School  in 1953.  She was employed at Indianapolis Life Insurance, Lafayette Life Insurance, and the Peoples Home Life before beginning a long career at The Farmers’ Bank in Frankfort.

Barbara was a life-long devoted Christian and member the First Church of the Nazarene in Frankfort, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school.  Barbara’s love of sacred and gospel music led her to becoming a devoted follower of the Reverend Billy Graham and his Crusades.  More than once, she joined the huge choirs he would assemble for his Crusades for Christ.

Barbara’s enduring faith and loving personality won her many friends at her church, her work, and in her personal life.  She was well loved by her many aunts, uncles and cousins.  Barbara always enjoyed Christmas and celebrating the season with her church and her family.

Visitation and Services

A celebration of life service will be held by family members at a later date.

Survived by:

Barbara is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Larry (Binnie) Bragg in Leland, NC, and by her niece, Barbara LuAnne (Jon) Carmin in Fishers, IN.

Preceded by:

her parents and her brother, Thomas P. Bragg and his wife, Marlene.

    Larry and Binnie, So Sorry to hear about Barbara, she was a great lady and will be missed. It was such a joy to have her in our church choir. She was a faithful choir member.
