Matthew A. Marley

Matthew A. Marley died at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis as a result of a vehicle accident in Tipton County on June 5, 2023, at the age of 57. Matt was born to Herbert and Patricia (Gunyon) Marley on February 4, 1966 in Frankfort; he was one of four siblings.  He graduated from Frankfort High School and began his career as a truck driver soon after.

Matt married Amber Foust on December 30, 2004, and she survives. They have 4 children. Matt was a life-long resident of Clinton County and an auxiliary member of the Frankfort VFW where he enjoyed drinking coffee with friends. He is remembered for his love of the Cubs, riding motorcycles, and bird watching.

 

 

Visitation and Services

Per the family’s wishes, no services will be held. The family asks that any wishing to show support consider donating to the Frankfort VFW. Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S Main St, Frankfort and Clinton County Crematory are honored to assist the Marley Family.

Survived by:

In addition to his wife, Matt will be remembered by many, including four children: Trinity Marley of Crawfordsville, Dylan Disinger of Tuscon, AZ, Austin Disinger of West Lafayette, and Ella Marley of Rossville. Matt had four grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers: John (Brenda) Marley of Russiaville, and Chuck Marley.

Matt was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his sister Kathy (Marley) Platt.

    Sending prayers to the family. Matt was a great person and he has known our family forever. Matt hope you when you get to heaven you see the love ones and they give you a big hug. Matt you will be missed.

    Going to miss talking with Matt everyday while we were trucking. His friendship was very dear to me. He was a great, friendly, kind man. Sending prayers and deepest condolences to his family. He will be deeply missed.

    Amber and family, Gwen and I are so sorry for your loss. I appreciated so much the help you and Matt were in the latter part of Gene’s life. You are good friends and we will miss Matt so much.

    I know Matt from his trips to the dentist. He would always give us a hard time and I in return gave him one right back! He always said I was the reason for him coming in the office. We always laughed about that. It’s because I wouldn’t take any slack from him. He and his wife were always nice people. So sad to hear of the news of his passing. Praying for his wife and family.

    Our family was really close when his parents was alive, but even the last time I talked with him he still to this day called me killer Joe.

    Matt was as supper good friend who would hold nothing back, if you asked, he was going to tell you, like it or not!!!! I miss the 6-6:15 roll calls every morning!!!! “01 Ottis whatcha doing? Where ya at?” I Just wish. Until we meet again, 01 Marley, 01Ottis, Clear!!! Marley Family.
