William Samuel Goodwin, 66, of Lafayette, Ind., died May 19, 2022 at Franciscan Health Lafayette East, Lafayette, Ind.  He was born March 1, 1956 in Frankfort, Ind. to Charles Samuel & Joyce Lewis (Bend) Goodwin.

Sam was a 1974 graduate of Frankfort High School.  He was a general foreman for Crellin Plastics, working there for 20 years.  He enjoyed outdoor activities and reading.

Visitation and Services

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2022 at Green Lawn Cemetery. After the Celebration, those that wish can head out to Terry and Dae Lenna Pippenger’s residence at 3701 N. Hamilton Road, Mulberry, IN 46058, for a reception in Sam & Scott’s honor.

Survived by:

his brother: James Steven Goodwin of Swarthmore, PA and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded by:

his parents and his brother, Charles Scott Goodwin.

    Sam was a great guy. I worked with him for 6 years at Crellin Plastics. During that time we socialized some outside of work. We went to Churchill Downs to bet on the ponies. We also saw Johnny Cash at The Vogue. Really sorry to hear he’s passed.
