William Joseph Ticen 81, of rural Frankfort, IN, died at 11:15 p.m. September 23, 2012 at Parkwood Nursing Home, Lebanon, IN. Born May 16, 1931 in Frankfort to Ivan & Hazel (Tribbett) Ticen. He married Helen Owings on June 16, 1950 in Indianapolis and she survives. Mr. Ticen attended Flora Schools then graduated from Ben Davis High School (Indianapolis) in 1949. A truck driver for Hoosier Pete from 1949-1963, he then farmed full time. He had lived in Owen Township for over 50 years and had been the Owen Township Trustee for 36 years. For 43 years he was bus driver for Rossville Schools. Mr. Ticen was a member of the Mason-Beard Masonic Lodge #641 and Helen Bonebrake Order of Eastern Star #437 of Rossville.

Visitation and Services

Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the Geetingsville Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Rossville Educational Foundation, P.O. Box 11, Rossville, IN 46065 to benefit students with special needs.

Wife: Helen Ticen of rural Frankfort 4 Sons: William Joseph Jr. (Teresa) Ticen of Vallonia, IN, Michael Stephen (Brenda) Ticen of Cutler, Randall Allan Ticen of Battleground and Jeffrey Loron (Linda) Ticen of Chalmers 1 Daughter: Nancy Louise (Phillip) Jones of Goddand, KS 1 Half-Sister: Betty Jean (David) Marth of Florida 14 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren

    Mike I am so so sorry to hear about your dad. I remember all the good times when he drove the fan bus to the “Big Games” we had in HS.Your friendship has meant so much to me through the years and we have a lot of good memories!! Especially KFC at DeMolay at Kokomo!! I could go on and on but there is not enough time or room the good times we had. Again Mike I’m so sad to hear about your dad. You best buddy always Clifford.

    OH and don’t forget Mrs. Crum too the old Bat!
