William E. Ottinger 83, a former Frankfort resident, died at 3:25 a.m. February 29, 2012 at the I.U. White County Hospital, Monticello, IN. Born April 13, 1928 near Sheridan, IN to Vonzil H. & Opal (McCoy) Ottinger. He married Sarabelle Pippenger on February 14, 1946 and she survives. Mr. Ottinger attended Frankfort Schools and moved to Monticello from Frankfort in 1998. He worked for Norfolk & Southern Railroad as a car inspector for over 40 years. He repaired fishing equipment for the former Conkright’s Sporting Goods in Frankfort.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.

Wife: Sarabelle Ottinger of Monticello Son: Gary (Electa) Ottinger of Monticello 2 Daughters: Patt (Partner Misha Bergen) Ottinger of Monticello and Marijean (Mark) Heavilon of Frankfort 1 Sister: Linda (Bob) Hinesley of Rossville 5 Grandsons: Rodney, Edward, Todd & Christopher Ottinger and Jeremy Price 4 Granddaughters: Nicole Brock, Angie Howe, Shasta Younger and Sara Ottinger-Duff 2 Step Grandsons: Michael & Matthew Heavilon

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Ottinger, 2 infant brothers, an infant sister and an infant great grandson.
